I tend not to go overboard with denoise (hence the learned thing above) I'll process globally to suit the key area then do any further denoise and final sharpening in my finishing app i.e. Apply globally then apply a local sharpening mask to the area you want to bring back detail in seems to work fine. The Denoise settings are global so you can't apply them to a specific area but there is an easy way round it. Upoint controle points and control lines which has fine selection in chroma and lumination. (It looks like your lens got an upgrade.) Very good denoising technology. Most alternatives are Photo Editors and Raw Photo Processors. What you get is great optical module which improves the lens. There are more than 10 alternatives to DxO PhotoLab for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Mac, iPad, Linux and iPhone.

We often need to create multiple masks of the same type for different areas of our images and for different purposes. DxO PhotoLab is described as Advanced photo editing software and is a Photo Editor in the Photos & Graphics category. It allows you to create a new mask of the same type you are already using. I believe you are referring to the New Mask icon. But to test to answer your question I messed about with much higher values so I learned something today, thank you! There is no layers icon and no layers in PhotoLab. I've just not noticed it at the denoise values I use.
